This morning, we all headed out to Scarborough, where I taught them their first yoga class. They loved it!
AJ and Allison came over tonight for what would probably our last girls night of the summer. We celebrated with Thai basil curry, coconut rice, and lots of mojitos.
I'm in the middle of making a bunch of life altering decisions right now. It's not easy.
From some game at the CNE. There were like 16 of them all in a row moving from side to side with their mouths open. Scary shit.
Tina and I went to the CNE tonight for some music, a ton of food, and entertainment. I also bought a huge hookah. The CNE happens every year for two weeks and showcases lots of different things from across Canada and the world. There's also a carnival, with rides and games and a midway, as you can see here.
We topped our meal off with probably the best dessert I've ever had. Some chocolate truffle thing with fresh fruit, hazelnut paste, and chocolate sauce. Oh. My. God.
The presentation of this food was amazing. These were our bellinis - not the drink!
Allison and I had a nice little romantic date tonight at a Vegan restaurant on Queen West called Fressen. It's a Vegan tapas bar, and quite amazing. This was our soup, and taro root appetizers in the background. So good!

My friend asked to take a picture that defines who I am and where I want to go in life. Being that 8/8/8 is a very auspicious day, I thought it might be a good day to come up with another fluid definition of who I am. I took a picture of me in dancer's pose at the yoga studio - nowhere to go but out and up, reaching higher, going further, and standing still with poise and grace. That's where I want to go in life.
The Taste of the Danforth starts tomorrow. Most of the Toronto and half the neighbouring suburbs will be visiting my hood. It will surely be absolutely nuts. They even block the streets off... meaning more traffic on my street, one block south of the Danforth. Boo.
I was doing errands downtown today around my university, and I saw my holy grail. That's right - Chipotle. I've been wanting and begging the universe to let it move up to Canada for EVER. I am seriously never going to have to leave Canada again, ever.
